So about 30 minutes ago my Wii starts glowing blue and at first I think… “oh cool an update..” but that changes to an “ok last time I rushed to turn my Wii on and it was some bullshit.” The weak “Check Mii Out Channel” to be exact. The verdict this time is at least the good folks at Nintendo are consistent because this update is weak too and doesn’t really add any thing “fun” or interesting in the least bit thus earning the title “My Wii Glows, But It Aint Shit… Pt.2″
The update message says its an upgrade to 3.2 and maybe switching up the menu or adding something cool like a new transition when going back to the menu from a game would have been nice… but no, we get none of that. The update apparently is related to getting notifications of when you need game updates. Yawn. I’m thinking it may have something to do with recent Twilight princess hacks from code exploits that allow homebrew to be run on the Wii. Anyway the message related to the update says:
“Once installed, if a Game Disc is inserted into the Wii console and an update is required, a notification message will be displayed across the Disc Channel alerting you to update your system.”
