The Street Fighter Club event this past Friday was "full of win" as they say on these inter-nets. Combine an old bodega, a great DJ, New York Pizza, and unreleased Street Fighter games with free and you cant loose. Hats off to the guys at Capcom who came to my borough in the great state of New York and put on an event that was low cheeze (except for those M. Bison players HA!) and lots of fun. When the DJ played 'Broken Language' I knew it was going to be a good night and that they were going to do it right in Brooklyn.

Anyway back to the games. Capcom had PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 console versions of Street fighter 4 available on deck for our enjoyment. I visited the "Chinatown Fair Arcade" a couple of hours before the event so I could compare the console versions at the event to the arcade version. Above is picture I took at "Chinatown Arcade" before the event. So how did it compare?
Street Fighter IV Arcade vs. Console... Fight!
I am no frame counter but both graphically and in terms of play I could not tell the difference between the version I played in the arcade vs the console versions. It seemed like a virtually identical experience of course except for the fact Sakura was playable at the event.
Street Fighter IV Console: PS3 vs. Xbox 360... Fight!
After playing both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Street Fighter IV i did not notice any major differences. Both versions also seemed the same though the colors Xbox 360 version did seem to be marginally brighter. The systems were being displayed on Samsung HD screens so any such slight differences could easily have been due to differences in the screens display calibrations. Any differences in color or contrast settings could have easily been the cause so I think its safe to say that the versions will be virtually identical.
