Updates: Street Fighter IV / Street Fighter HD Remix

Street Fighter IV Rundown

The Japanese Official Street Fighter IV blog was just updated and apparently work is still being done on refining the SFIV character faces. The expressions of the characters is a hot topic on forums and game blogs right now so its good to see that what we have seen is still a work in progress and that the character models are still being refined.

According to the wacky Google translation of whats posted in Japanese on the Street Fighter IV blog:

Street Fighter IV, a person’s eyes follow the movement of a close and
Attacks on the chin and very pained expression and,
Character is very animated and do.
The Affluent and dynamic expression, thus dense, and created by deliberate.

Great to know that the faces will be improved and will have dynamic expressions including eyes that follow movement in the game. Moving on….

David Sirlin Design Director of SSF2T:HD Remix was interviewed about Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (SSF2T:HD Remix). In the interview with Videogamer.com he talks about nuances of the game including character changes etc.

Seth Killian from Capcom was interviewed by The Street Fighter Blog recently about about Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter II HD Remix. He says Street Fighter IV is about 50% done right now and that we will know we are close to the launch of HD remix when we start to see new updates posted about HD remix. Here is a quote on why no clear video of HD remix has been released:

We haven’t done a good video yet because we’re focused on getting the art where we want it. Since the new art is one of the game’s main features, and we’ve already talked about art changes, it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that the art isn’t where we want it to be. It’s hard to do a high-res, clear video without showing the art, and if that’s not yet up to snuff, video goes out the window. With eagle-eyed superfans everywhere, we’d rather wait until we’ve got the art all the way where we’d like it to be.
