Playstation 3 Firmware 2.42 Available Now, But What Does it Do?

According to a vague post on the official Playstation blog:

Just wanted to give everyone a quick heads up that a PS3 firmware update (v2.42) is now available for download. This update improves the playback quality of some PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation format software.

Some, or even any specifics would be appreciated next time. Thanks!

I don't really think they have fixed anything that is noticeable to the human eyes. I think it's a just a update to fix one or two things.

I bored to death of the PS3.
These trophy patches need to hurry up and appear. I can't wait for the ones coming to Uncharted, but they need to get them on MGS 4 aswel.
