True Crime was formally announced last night at the Spike TV Video Game Awards. Developed by United Front Games and published by Activision, this will be the 3rd game in the series, the last 2 'Streets of LA' and 'New York City' were released for the last generation of consoles.

Not much is known about the game at the moment but from what was shown in the trailer you play as an undercover officer trying to take down the triads.

I remember playing through the first game, it was somewhat enjoyable but it was always overshadowed by the far superior Grand Theft Auto series.
I'm looking forward to see what they have been able to do with the series with the hardware and technology that is available.
