Well the Marvel Comics 3D fighting game featuring an open stage with destructible environments has been canceled. Heres a quote from the GameTap article that featured this news:
“EA and Marvel have jointly agreed to discontinue development of the Marvel titles under the EA Games Label. This was a business decision based on EA’s portfolio strategy,” an Electronic Arts rep told GameTap today.
It should have been more like… “portfolio strategy of SUCKING at making good games from licenses and shoveling it into the stores.” I think Marvel also needs to cut it with Activision too because their Marvel (Spiderman 3, Fantastic 4, etc.) games suck as well. At this point we all just hope CAPCOM IS LISTENING… and actually cares to seek a licensing agreement with Marvel. Everyone wants an HD Marvel versus game.
