The test were run and the verdict is in. SRK resident tech genius Toodles ran tests to finally get to the bottom of ongoing speculation about wireless joysticks and their performance as compared to wired joysticks. Most contend that wireless joysticks are not reliable enough (due to wireless latency etc.) to use for fighting games. Partially due to my instigation in a
thread at SRK Toodles got the parts he needed and ran his tests. His
Xbox 360 tests found that Xbox 360 pads were on par with their wired counter parts. His
PS3 tests also found that wireless Playstation 3 Sixaxis pads were also on par with their wired counterparts. For his PS3 tests he used his own Cthulhu board.
Side Note: Instead of using the "guts" of a PS3 controller to create an arcade joystick many now opt to use the
Cthulhu because its more cost effective and MUCH easier to wire up to buttons and joysticks. They also work on PC's. I highly recommend the Cthulhu board to anyone wanting to create their own PS3 wired arcade stick.

According to multiple sources in the interwebs the Japanese magazine Famitsu has reported that a demo for Resident Evil 5 will be hitting Japanese Xbox 360 owners on December 5th. Westerners will have to suck it up until Capcom is ready to hit us with a demo or find a copy of the demo on the internet and burn a DVD of the demo. Yeah that works too, I did it with the early Japanese release of the Ninja Gaiden II demo.
