You may finding yourself needing a Component to VGA converter at some point as I did. In my case I also wanted to be able to run my game consoles on my computer LCD display in addition to my HDTV.
The thought of buying VGA cables for each console sucked. Also running all the extra VGA wires and switching to VGA cables every time I want to play on the Computer LCD did not sound ideal. I had all my consoles (Xbox 360, Wii etc.) already connected to my HDTV via component cables so I set out to get a component to VGA converter so I would not have to swap component and VGA cables on each console every time I wanted to play on my computer LCD display. I searched for a converter and chose the High-Box because it also supported 480i signals which I noticed that many component to VGA converters did not. Read the rest of this entry »
Gizmodo is one of the sites I do frequent in my never ending and unquenchable gadget lust. They just posted a pretty thorough review of Wii Fit that you should check out if you are interested in Wii Fit.
Wii Fit will be released in the U.S. this week and is something I plan to buy to help track my personal fitness progress. The XCM Multi-Console Component Cable Version 3 provides the ability to connect multiple consoles (PS3, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, PSP, PSP Slim) to one TV or component (YPbPr input).
Essentially you can have multiple consoles connected to a TV or other device and not have to swap video/audio cables when you want to switch consoles. Please note that there are other ways to go about this and I will list a few at the end of this review. The alternatives are more expensive. Video quality is always my main concern with cables like these. Will the video quality using this multi cable stand up to using the individual stock cables that come with these machines?
