Hacked My Wii, Plays Backups?!

Written by Fallback in Wii

After a conversation with a friend over the phone a few days go about how the only thing worth checking into for the Wii this season is Tatsunoko vs Capcom I decided to get the game and since I do not have a Japanese Wii I had to hack it to get it to run. I had not turned on my Wii in months and the thought of bricking it honestly did not concern me that much especially considering the shiny PS3 and Xbox 360 sitting right next to it.

After installing the Homebrew channel i was wowed at how detailed and efficient the homebrew software works. I was also surprised to find out that there are evil homebrew apps out there that can play burned backup wii games on DVD-R discs with this hack installed. I don't think this will be a problem for Nintendo because its not something that's super easy to do especially after the last few Wii Menu updates.

In any case here are some pics of the hack and homebrew channel. Read the rest of this entry »

Resident Evil 5 Box Art

Not too shabby. This Resident Evil 5 box art is official and straight from the good folks at Capcom. The Xbox 360 version is pretty much the same.
