Gamepro ran a test of the wireless PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 controllers. As you can see from the chart the Xbox 360 kicked ass with the Wii in second place. The PS3 controller worries me as thats not even the newer Sixaxis with rumble. Gamepro says its mostly because the Sony's Sixaxis has no auto off feature so it drains more.
We knew this was coming seeing as how much critical acclaim Portal has gotten from the media and gaming public. Eurogamer reports:
[Valve] spokesperson Doug Lombardi said it was less a matter of if and more a matter of what and when. “There’ll be more Portal, for sure. But the details of that, to be honest, we’re still working out,” he said.
So yeah you may notice your Wii glowing this morning if you have Wii Connect24 on, but dont get too excited because guess what… it aint shit. No its not Divx support or DVD playback enabled, or anything you or I actually care about. Its glowing to tell you about Check Mii Out channel updates. Heres the details:
-In the Posting Plaza, you can now easily find all the Miis you’ve posted
-When viewing a Mii Artisan’s profile, you can now select to see all Miis posted by that Artisan
-If you cancel out of judging a contest a return later, any Miis you’ve selected previously for the contest will be retained
-Parental Controls are now supported in the channel. If a user chooses to block “exchange of user generated content” from the Parental Controls menu in Wii Settings, users will be prompted to enter the Parental Controls PIN in order to enter the channel
-When viewing Miis in the Posting Plaza under the “Popular” category, you can now view 500 of the most popular Miis over the past two weeks instead of 50
-When using the Mii search feature, the Miss Entry Number is retained on the Entry Number screen. If the Mii you’re searching for is not fond, re-entry of the number is not necessary, making i easier to modify your search.
Yes. The Legend of Zelda badass known as Gannondorf is playable, along with Luigi and R.O.B. the useless robot (unkless its Mario Kart DS) has been confirmed as playable in the ever delayed Super Smash Bros. Brawl for Wii. The toon version of Link from Windwaker will also be playable. Other confirmed characters I didn’t care enough about to jack pics of include : Jigglypuff, Lucario, Ness, Capt. Falcon, Marth, Falco, Mr. Game & Watch.
Heres a snippet from the latest 1UP Podcast showing a look at Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword (DS) which is scheduled for release in March. The game will rely heavily on the stylus for controls I guess like Phantom Hourglass.
