I remember droooling over Neo Geo's Magician Lord in the arcades back in the day. Now that I can have it I am like 'meh.' It's funny how it works out that way with some older games. I was all over Punch out! though when it was released on the virtual console. (more...)... more.

Another great and unexpected update. It has been announced that you will be able to build and save stages to your SD card. Not only that but via Wi-Fi connection you will be able to send stages to friends and even to Nintendo to be potentially featured as the "stage of The day". Potentially each day there may be a new stage to experience though you may not be able to save the stages of the day... more.

Jason Booth a developer who worked on Guitar Hero I, II and Rock Band explains exactly why ports to the ps3 will never be as good as their 360 counter parts, and why most ps3 exclusives will likely continue to suck. Its like if Sakura from the Street Fighter Alpha series got her own spin off game. Arcana Heart is all chicks... 2D schoolgirl type chicks duking it out Streetfighter style with crazy air juggle combos. The good folks at 1UP has released an entertaining review of Clive Barker's Jericho where he totally poops on the game with the following: I'm also perplexed by the absurdly long (and frequent) load times, given that the game looks like complete garbage. This is a very good look for Capcom and Streetfighter franchise. First off its being developed in Japan which is great news. They are incorporating alot of great new things like Halo 3 style service record with stats down to how many fireballs you have ever thrown.
